And now the people that I sold it to, the Pistillis [James and Kathleen Pistilli], they had the whole thing researched and now its got landmark things on it and everything. So itll be part of Staten Island that people, maybe fifty years from now when theres not a spot left, theyll all come out and theyll look and say, Wow, this is what it used to be.. And there were two windows, like this. I bet I left the cellar door open under the stairwell, from the basement, and I bet thats the soap Ive got in the washing machine that smells like that. And then Id been in Europe all that time. And if theyre gonna make a museum out of it, theyre gonna have to pay somebody to greet people and take them on tours. I said, Where are you? She said, Well, I moved out years ago and went back to Georgia. I know all the grounds that were around it were beautiful gardens. And then I went through floor and room after room, and took almost five years to put the house in good shape, the way you could see it. When he came he got everything going. Burke: Let me think of how all that started. And I want my painting. And it was actually three stories high. So it took a fortune, but I had it, all that money, to restore the house.
