Upon his death, Mike joins his wife Barbara, parents Vincent J. and Josephine OFlaherty, brothers Vincent OFlaherty, S.J., John D. OFlaherty and sister Mary Jo OFlaherty in heaven. Mike was an active member of the Visitation family serving on multiple school and parish boards, proclaiming the word of God as Lector and participating as a Eucharistic Minister. Michael (Mike) OFlaherty, age 84, joined the loving arms of his best friend and wife of 54 years, Barbara, family and God on September 26, 2022 following an extended illness. Benjamin was 18 months old. All in the while of having fun, Michael was very determined. They were proud to let everyone know that President and First Lady John F. and Jacqueline Kennedy were invited to the wedding and were sadly unable to attend but sent a bouquet of flowers in their absence. He was predeceased by : his parents, Bridget T. Flaherty, (Kennedy) and Michael J. Flaherty, Sr.; his siblings, Margaret Flaherty, Mary Hogan, John Flaherty and James Flaherty; and his niece Kate Hogan. He went on many church retreats sharing his compassion for the Lord with like-minded friends and family. Mikes brother, another Vincent OFlaherty, also a Rockhurst U.
